Is Abhijeet Nakshatra still considered in Vedic astrology?

Vedic Abhijit means invincible; even today in astrology, predictions are given based on the Abhijit nakshatra. The ecliptic is divided into a total of 27 parts of 13° 20' each, which is referred to as a nakshatra. By combining certain parts of the Uttara Ashadha nakshatra and Shravana nakshatra, it is considered as Abhijit nakshatra in Vedic astrology.

The last quarter of Uttara Ashadha nakshatra, meaning the third quarter in Capricorn whose lord is Jupiter, and the first quarter of Shravana nakshatra — specifically 62 minutes and 20 seconds out of 200 minutes — making a total span of 243 minutes and 20 seconds, is what constitutes the Abhijit nakshatra in the sky.

Abhijit nakshatra is used in the major and sub-period (Dasha-Antardasha) calculations according to the Ashtottari Mahadasha system (which is a time period of 108 years). According to the Ashtottari Mahadasha, Saturn is considered the lord of Abhijit nakshatra, and the total Dasha period is 10 years. The Abhijit Muhurta is considered extremely auspicious; astrologers utilize this Muhurta for performing any activity. Also, in this Vedic astrology, the method of predicting accurate astrology through the Sarvatobhadra Chakra has been described by the authors of the scriptures.
