What is Sasa Mahapurush Yoga in astrology?

The Shash Mahapurush Yoga is one of the five grand royal alignments (Panch Mahapurush Yogas) in Vedic astrology, and it is ruled entirely by Saturn.

How it Forms: This yoga is activated when Saturn is placed in its own signs of ownership (Capricorn or Aquarius) or its sign of exaltation (Libra), while simultaneously occupying a corner house (Kendra — the 1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th house) from the Ascendant or the Moon. For dual ascendants like Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, Saturn cannot naturally form this yoga because its power signs do not line up with their corner houses.

What It Grants You: Leadership & Authority — It blesses an individual with an incredibly structured, analytical mind, immense organizational skills, and a massive capacity for sustained hard work. People with this yoga do exceptionally well in politics, public administration, law, real estate, and large-scale industrial projects.

The Factor of Time: Because Saturn is a slow, elderly planet representing justice and discipline, its power peaks when its degrees are fully mature (between 10 and 24 degrees). A Shash Yoga will never give you unearned, overnight success. It ensures that when you finally reach your goals, your success is completely permanent and unshakeable.
