Numerology is based on the Gregorian calendar. How can this be relevant to Vedic astrology?

Vedic astrology studies a person's karmic tendencies and the events occurring in life through a combination of planets, zodiac signs, nakshatras, birth time, and birth place. On the other hand, numerology is also an ancient science which is referred to as the science of time-knowledge (Kalajnan Vidya).

This wheel of time has complete influence over all elements and the sequence of events in the universe; the concept of this time wheel is presented through the number zero. From zero itself, the cosmic mystical time vibrates and manifests in nine ways, and these nine divisions are shown as the nine numbers from 1 to 9.

The thought of time-reckoning was first presented in the Vedas, and subsequently by Maharishi Kanada and Sage Patanjali.

According to numerology, number 1 is designated as Sun (Ravi), 2 means Moon, 3 means Jupiter (Guru), 4 means Uranus (Herschel), 5 means Mercury (Budh), 6 means Venus (Shukra), 7 means Neptune, 8 means Saturn (Shani), and 9 means Mars (Mangal). If Vedic astrology has the backing of numerology to deliver predictions, a deep study of the sequence of events in the predictions can be done, and because of this, accurate predictions can be made.
