What is the difference between a Saturn conjunction and an aspect, according to Indian astrology (Vedic)?

When the planet Saturn (Shani) is present with any other planet in the same house or zodiac sign in a birth chart, it is called a conjunction (Yuti); whereas the planet Saturn has a total of three aspects (Drishtis) - the third, seventh, and tenth. From the sign where Saturn is located in the birth chart, Saturn casts its aspect on the third house, the seventh house, and the tenth house, as well as on the planets situated there.

Due to a conjunction, the influence of the planet Saturn falls upon the significations (Karakatva) and the house of the planet it is in conjunction with; the energies of both planets merge, and the results vary in intensity to a greater or lesser degree depending on the house. On the other hand, an aspect means Saturn influences that planet or house from a distance, because of which the intensity of the result is lesser compared to a conjunction.

A conjunction of any planet with Saturn is considered more effectively powerful because the complete energy of Saturn is received by the planet with which Saturn is conjunct. However, if Saturn is strong and a functional significator (Karak) in the birth chart, its aspect can also bring immense changes in a person's life, and can bring positive changes.
