What are the effects of having the 7th lord in the 12th house as per astrology?

In Vedic astrology, the 7th house means partnership, marriage, public relations, etc., while the Vyaya house (12th house) means foreign travel, expenses, spirituality, sacrifice, renunciation, pleasures of the bed, hospital, etc. If the 7th lord is in the 12th house in a birth chart, it goes into the 6th house from its own 7th house, or the 7th lord situated in the 12th house generally shows the following predictions.

Since the 12th house is related to marital pleasures of the bed, if the lord of marriage, which is the 7th lord, is in the 12th house, then depending on the strength of that planet, emotional and physical relations between husband and wife play an important role; the marriage partner can be a foreigner or residence abroad can happen after marriage; and sometimes the marriage partner can be inter-caste or inter-religious; hospital visits or diagnosis of illness related to the partner can occur. When the 7th lord is weak, in a debilitated sign, or afflicted by malefic planets, staying away from the partner, emotional and mental misunderstandings, higher expenses after marriage, delay in marriage, and low marital satisfaction are observed.

The 7th lord being in the twelfth house does not give a definite indication that the marriage will be unsuccessful, disrupted, or end in divorce; a proper prediction can be stated only after studying the complete horoscope.
