In Indian astrology, why is Saturn seen as auspicious in 'bad houses,' and how does it change the typical negative effects of these houses?

In Vedic astrology, Trik houses mean the 6th, 8th, and 12th (Vyaya) houses in a horoscope. Malefic planets, namely Saturn, Rahu, Mars, and Ketu, in such houses are considered auspicious, whereas benefic planets like Jupiter and Venus are considered weak when situated in these houses; because of this, such benefic planets cannot give auspicious predictions in Trik houses.

The 6th house in a birth chart means competition, debts, enemies, and health, while the 8th house means sudden problems coming into life, death-like pain/suffering, research, and occult science, whereas the Vyaya house means foreign lands, hospitals, loneliness, detachment, spirituality, etc. These Trik houses signify struggle, a difficult period coming into life, expenses, losses, obstacles, sudden changes, problems, etc. In such difficult situations, the environment here does not suit planets that give pure and auspicious predictions like Venus; on the other hand, since Saturn, Mars, Rahu, and Ketu are natural malefic planets, these planets possess a natural tendency to face such difficult situations, to fight through them, and find a way out. Therefore, it is stated in Vedic astrology that malefic planets like Saturn and Mars become strong when situated in Trik houses.

Just because malefic planets are in a Trik house, it does not mean that the negative effects of that house completely disappear; rather, they are indicators of fighting through the negative situations brought by that house to achieve the further goals of life. Since Saturn is the significator of delay, hard work, maturity, patience, and endurance, when it is in the 6th, 8th, or 12th house, it gives a person courage, patience, and hard work during times of crisis.
